Who is responsible

Your calculator inputs

Calculations happen entirely in your browser. The amounts, rates, dates and other values you type are not sent to us or stored by us.

If you use "Copy result link", the inputs are placed in the link so that anyone you share it with sees the same result. Only share links you are comfortable sharing.

Stored on your device

We keep a few preferences in your browser's local storage so the site works the way you left it. They stay on your device and you can clear them in your browser settings:

• your theme (light or dark),
• your chosen region and currency,
• your analytics choice (accepted or rejected).

Region detection

To show amounts in your currency, our hosting provider tells the page which country your connection comes from. We store only the two-letter country code in a first-party cookie (`hb_geo`) for one day. We do not store your IP address or a more precise location, and you can change the region at any time.

Hosting and security logs

The site is delivered by a content delivery network (Cloudflare). Like any website, it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This processing is necessary to run the site; the provider acts on our behalf under its own data protection terms.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators are useful. It sets first-party cookies (`_ga` and `_ga_…`, lasting up to 2 years unless you clear them) and records the page visited (without the part of the link that holds your inputs), a calculator name, a coarse region code, whether you used search and roughly how many results it found (but not what you typed), and general device information. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off, and data is kept for 2 months.

If you reject analytics, or make no choice, no analytics code loads. You can change your choice at any time with "Analytics settings" at the bottom of every page.

Google LLC processes this data as our service provider and may transfer it outside your country under its standard contractual safeguards.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply and, for a correction or complaint, to keep a record of how it was handled. We delete them within 12 months of the matter closing, unless the law requires us to keep them longer or they are needed for a legal claim. We never add you to a mailing list.

Advertising

The site does not show advertising today. If we add it, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Legal bases

Running and securing the site, and remembering your preferences, are necessary to provide the service you request (legitimate interests under the GDPR; legitimate uses under India's DPDP Act). Analytics rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting the site.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state laws such as the CCPA, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to withdraw consent, to object, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data about you (apart from any emails you send us), most requests can be met by clearing your browser storage and choosing "Reject" in Analytics settings. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Grievance officer (India)

Sachin, reachable at calculators@haatbeat.in. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 7 days and to respond within 30 days, and always within the time the law allows.

Children

The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are under 18, please choose "Reject" when asked about analytics.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the review date below. Material changes, such as adding advertising, will be highlighted on the site.
